Coating Knowledge Of The Clean Color Steel Plate

The strength of the clean color steel plate depends on the materials and thickness of the substrate, and the durability depends on the amount of zinc coating 318g/m2 and the thickness of the surface coating. The coating has polyester, silicone resin, fluorine resin, and so on. The thickness of the coating is more than 25um. The coating structure has two coating and one drying, two coating and two drying, etc.

The requirements of the commonly used color coating of the clean board are generally lower than that of exterior wall panels. Commonly used coatings for color steel plate are polyester (PE), followed by silicon modified resin (SMP), high weather-resistant polyester (HDP), polyvinylidene vinylidene fluoride (PVDF), etc. The coating structure is divided into two coatings one drying and two coatings two dryings. Coating thickness is generally 20-25U on the surface and 8-10U on the back. The external use of the building should not be less than 20U on the surface and 10U on the back.

Characters of coating materials:

1. Polyester (PE)

Good adhesion, wide range in formability and outdoor durability, chemical resistance is moderate. Service life is 7-10 years.

2. Silicon modified resin (SMP)

The coating has good hardness, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, as well as good external durability, and non-chalking properties. Limited gloss retention and flexibility. Service life is 10-15 years.

3. High weather resistant polyester (HDP)

Excellent UV linear resistance, with high durability, its main performance between polyester and fluorocarbon. Service life is 10-12 years

4. Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)

Good formability and color retention, excellent outdoor durability and powdering, solvent resistance, limited color. Service life is 20-25 years.

5. The antibacterial coating is adding Ag ions into the coating.

6. Antistatic coating is adding electrostatic conductive coating into the coating.

The standards that color coated steel plate usually refers to are ASTM A527 (galvanized)、ASTM AT92 (aluminzed zinc) , Japan JIS G3302, Europe EN/0142, Korea KS D3506, Baosteel Q/bqb420.
