Illumination Index of The Clean Room

Since most of the work in the clean room has detailed requirements, and they are all airtight houses, the requirements for lighting are high. Requirements are as follows:

1. The lighting source in the clean room should use high-efficiency fluorescent lamps. If the process has special requirements or the illuminance value cannot meet the design requirements, other forms of light sources can also be used.

2. The general lighting fixtures in the clean room are ceiling mounted. If the lamps are embedded and concealed in the ceiling, there should be reliable sealing measures for the installation gaps. The clean room should use special lamps.

3. The illuminance standard value of general lighting in the production room of the clean room (area) without lighting windows should be 200~5001x. In the auxiliary room, personnel purification and material purification room, airlock room, corridor, etc. should be 150~3001x.

4. The illuminance uniformity of general lighting in the clean room should be no less than 0.7.

5. The setting of standby lighting in the clean workshop shall meet the following requirements:

1) Backup lighting should be set up in the clean workshop.

2) Backup lighting should be used as part of normal lighting.

3) Backup lighting should meet the minimum illuminance for necessary activities and operations in the required places or areas.

6. Emergency lighting for personnel evacuation should be set up in the clean workshop. Evacuation signs shall be set up at safety exits, evacuation openings, and corners of evacuation passages in accordance with the relevant provisions of the current national standard GB 50016 “Code for Fire Protection in Architectural Design”. Evacuation signs should be set up at the dedicated fire exits.

7. The design of lighting fixtures and electrical circuits in rooms with explosion hazards in clean workshops shall comply with the relevant provisions of the current national standard GB50058 “Code for Design of Electrical Installations in Explosion and Fire Hazardous Environments”.
